Everything about Meat Pie totally explained

A meat pie is a savoury pie that covers or contains a filling of meat and other savory ingredients. It is usually made up of beef, pork, or lamb; however, it can also contain fish. Well-known varieties of meat pie include British meat pies and the Australian meat pie. The Ghanaian "meat pie" is similar to the Jamaican beef patty. It can be baked or fried, and the filling can pretty much be anything from corned beef (the mostly widely used) to just onions and tomatoes.
The Natchitoches meat pie is one of the official state foods of the U.S. state of Louisiana. Latin American meat pies, empanadas, are usually baked or fried and the pastry shell also varies. The filling is equally varied. Ground beef with olives, fried egg, pulled pork, diced steak, even cheese & salami are the norm in Chile, Argentina, Bolivia, Colombia, Ecuador and Peru for example.
